Today we got some ‘Sembradores’ together to initiate the coming growing season by clearing the fields. We basically just cut all the dry weeds and raked them into a pile. We will save the dried up weeds as a carbon source in our composting. Now are field is cleared to till and plant. We intend to cover crop this field this year with peas and fava beans. We are also preparing the grounds for some visitors from UC Santa Cruz, scheduled to arrive in a couple days…
