Melons ripening at Sol Feliz

Here is a ripening melon that I understand originally came from Kazakhstan.  It had a light green flesh with a delicate sweetness, very much like a honey dew.    I have had these seeds for some years and was happy to see the success of this plant to replenish the seed.  Notice the bricks in the top right corner of the picture.  I placed four bricks in a square around the baby plant when I transplanted to protect it from wind and cold effects.    We had this same kind of melon growing in the Grow Dome but I don’t think the plants were particularly happy, presumably from the heat.  Keep on the look out for this melon, we will keep it going and expand its production as part of our future agriculture activities!
