Miguel has been planting maize for almost 30 years. His interest motivated the achievement of a Master of Science degree from UC Davis by studying the maize varieties of the acequias in northern New Mexico. He considers his relationship to maize of upmost importance to anything he says or does that relates to food, culture, & sustainability.
